Forston Learning is an educational coaching firm located in Edina, Minnesota.
Our mission is to provide learning resources and services that help children reach their highest potential. We offer personalized coaching to help children with reading, executive function skills, mindset, and central nervous system development.
ABOUT
Jessie Forston, M.Ed.
Forston Learning's founder, Jessie Forston, is an experienced education expert, passionate about helping children succeed. As a licensed teacher, reading specialist, NeuroDevelopmental Movement® consultant, certified brain coach and positive educator she works closely with families to provide personalized support and guidance. Using Positive Psychology, the neuroscience of learning, Mindset and Movement, we get to know the whole child, strengths and struggles, and get learning moving in the right direction. We work with a diverse range of students to help them achieve success and reach their full potential. Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters growth and development.
Movement
Using yoga for immediate nervous system resets and the power of NeuroDevelopmental Movement for long lasting brain change, Forston Learning incorporates movements that are meaningful and fun and help to optimize the body and brain for learning.
Mindset
Integrating the skillset that helps children strengthen their relationships, build positive emotions, enhance resiliance, promote mindfulness and a growth mindset is key to everything we do here at Forston Learning.
Literacy
Using the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham theory to inform our teaching, we grow each child's skillset through explicit, systematic and sequential instruction.
